Alex Saulnier scored twice for Moncton, while Devon MacAusland also counted. Alexandre Beauregard replied for Saint John. Roman Will made 34 stops for the victory, while Charlie Millen turned away 23 shots for the Sea Dogs. The Wildcats opened the scoring 7:03 into the first period with the man advantage when Saulnier beat Millen. Saulnier doubled Monctons lead in the second period, but the Sea Dogs pulled a goal back through Beauregard before the intermission.
